Mini Rodini 's AW19 Collection 'Stay Weird'
Mini Rodini celebrates children's uniqueness by making clothes that are fun to wear and that match each child's personality and creativity, as well as demonstrating a genuine passion for protecting the environment and the people involved in production. The Swedish children's wear brand was founded in 2006 on these principles, by illustrator Cassandra Rodini, and has been a huge success ever since. What started as a few boxes in Cassandra's Stockholm apartment has grown into six fully owned shops and multiple collections stocked in some of the most prestigious department stores and independent shops around the world; from Selfridges in London to Barneys in New York.
At the heart of Mini Rodini is a commitment to the social and environmental aspects of the production. Mini Rodini pride themselves on using only 100% Organic Cotton [read more here] and focus on sustainable materials such as recycled polyester and Modal®, as well as upcycling fabric from previous collections. But Mini Rodini doesn't stop there. They actively ensure that the production process avoids toxic chemicals, benefiting both the environment and the children who wear their clothes. Their use of transportation and packaging is equally environment-friendly as they avoid air transport, use bicycle couriers locally and reuse cartons for shipments. Mini Rodini are also passionate about the people who make their clothes; since 2016 they have implemented a Living Wage project and they are proud to be involved in the Fair Wear Foundation.
We love Mini Rodini because of their bold, playful and quirky clothes, which are not only fun to wear but also to look at. Their clothes are also unisex, so are never categorized or designed based on normative gender roles. Undoubtedly, this brand is ideal for creative and imaginative children and their like-minded parents.
Now, Mini Rodini is back with their AW19 'Stay Weird' Collection! This collection celebrates the children who dare to be different and is inspired by an array of cultural references from the movie Stand By Me to author Goethe and Cassandra's own childhood. True to the brands commitment to sustainability, the 'Stay Weird' collection uses TENCELTM, a wooden fiber that is both soft and breathable, as a sustainable and ecological alternative to cotton. This collection is now available at Scandi Mini, both online and in store.
