Scandi Mini Loves Tocoto Vintage AW19
When we think of Tocoto Vintage, we think of cable-knit cardigans, garments adorned with lace and frills, classic flower prints and a washed-out, vintage look, all blended in a style that can best be described as traditional with a part bohemian, part romantic twist.
I’m not a traditional person and I don’t go for very girly things normally, but there are some exceptions, and this brand is one of them. There’s just something about this style that I love. Maybe it’s the nostalgic, vintage style that I adore? I can’t put my finger on it but what I do know is that every piece my daughter Cornelia has been wearing from this brand, she has loved. And she is a tomboy, most of the time! Her new favourite outfit is this organic cotton jumper in dusty pink and this brown leopard skirt, because of how soft and comfortable they are.
The founder of Tocoto Vintage, Marta Navarro, is not new to the fashion market, and it shows. Every collection feels complete, and it is always very thought through. After working at the Inditex group (Zara, Massumi Dutti and more) for many years, she set out on her own. Inspired by her love for her children, the sea and the tiny island of Formentera in Spain, she has captured the essence of a romantic, care-free, nostalgic spirit in her collections. All designs are manufactured in Spain and Portugal, only selecting the best fabrics and with a great attention to detail.
